Jurisdiction
The Municipal Court has jurisdiction over traffic offenses, violations of State law, and local ordinances that occur within the city limits of Dacula. The Court is headed by the Chief Judge and Court Administrator, assisted by Court staff. It is the Court's mission to provide efficient, fair resolution of all matters coming before it. If your case did not occur within Dacula’s city limits, please contact the Gwinnett County Recorder's Court at 770-822-8815 to get information regarding your case.

Important information:

Municipal Court is typically held once a month on the third Tuesday of the month. Individuals who are issued citations should report to the Municipal Court at the time indicated on the citation/arraignment letter. For a complete calendar schedule, please click here.

  • Upon arrival, please check in with a deputy at the entrance. You are encouraged to arrive 10 minutes early so that you may speak with someone about your case.
  • To ensure the safety of the public and court officials, all individuals and articles entering court chambers are subject to search.
  • In the event of inclement weather, please note that Dacula Municipal Court follows the same closure schedule as Gwinnett County Public Schools.
  • Some offenses require a mandatory court appearance and cannot be paid in advance or through the mail.
