PUBLIC NOTICE MUNICIPAL ELECTION CITY OF DACULA
Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, a General Election will be held in the City of Dacula at Dacula City Hall, 442 Harbins Road, Dacula, Georgia to elect two members of Council. Councilman Sean Williams and Councilwoman Ann Mitchell currently occupy the offices.
Those seeking to Qualify as a Candidate in the Election must file a Notice of Candidacy with the Municipal Election Superintendent at Dacula City Hall, 442 Harbins Road, Dacula, Georgia between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. beginning Monday, August 21, 2023 and ending Wednesday, August 23, 2023. Candidates must pay a qualifying fee of $240.00 for the office of Council.
This Election will be held in the Dacula City Hall located at 442 Harbins Rd., Dacula, Georgia. The polls will open for early/absentee voting on October 16, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. and will continue day to day until 5:00 p.m. on November 3, 2023. In addition, voting will take place on October 21 and October 28, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The November 7, 2023 General Election will begin at 7:00 am and close at 7:00 pm.
To request an absentee ballot by mail, please call 770.963.7451 or email daculacityhall@daculaga.gov. Absentee ballot by mail requests will be received from August 21 to October 27, 2023. Absentee ballots will be received until 7:00 p.m. on November 7, 2023.
If no candidate receives a majority vote, then a Runoff Election will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at the same location. Those residents desiring to vote in the election, who are not registered, must register no later than October 10, 2023. You must reside within the city limits of Dacula to be eligible to vote in City elections.

Se da aviso que el Martes, 7 de Noviembre 2023, una eleccion General Municipal llevara a cabo en la Municipalidad de Dacula en el Ayuntamiento de Dacula, 442 Harbins Road, para elegir dos Concejales. Las oficinas están ocupadas por concejal Sean Williams y concejal Ann Mitchell.
Aquellos que buscan calificar como candidatos en la eleccion deben presenter una Notificacion de Candidatura en la oficina del Superintendente de Elecciones en el Dacula City Hall, 442 Harbins Road, Dacula GA entre las horas de 8:30a.m. y 4:30p.m. empezando Lunes, 21 de Agosto 2023 y terminando Miercoles, 23 de Agosto 2023. Los candidatos deben pagar una cuota de $ 213.00 para la oficina del Consejo.
Esta Elección se llevará a cabo en el Ayuntamiento de Dacula ubicado en 442 Harbins Rd., Dacula, Georgia. Las encuestas se abrirán para votación anticipada / en ausencia el 16 de octubre de 2023 a las 9:00 am y continuará día a día hasta las 5:00 p.m. el 28 de octubre de 2023. Además, la votación se llevará a cabo los días 21 y 28 de octubre de 2023 de 9:00 a.m. a 5:00 p.m. Las elecciones generales del 7 de noviembre de 2023 comenzarán a las 7:00 am y cerrarán a las 7:00 pm.

Las solicitudes de boleta de voto ausente por correo se recibirán del 21 de agosto al 27 de octubre de 2023. Las boletas de voto ausente se recibirán hasta las 7:00 p.m. el 7 de noviembre de 2023.
Si ningún candidato recibe una mayoría de votos, se llevará a cabo una segunda vuelta el martes 5 de diciembre de 2023 en el mismo lugar. Aquellos residentes que deseen votar en la elección, que no estén registrados, deben registrarse a más tardar el 10 de octubre de 2023. Debe residir dentro de los límites de la ciudad de Dacula para ser elegible para votar en las elecciones de la ciudad.
