City Administrator

The City Administrator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the City and implementing City Council policies. Duties include, but are not limited to, overseeing City departments and the City’s annual operation and capital budget.

Finance and Human Resources Department

The Finance and Human Resource Department helps encourage financial stability by managing the accounting and financial reporting for all city operations. The department also oversees issuance of occupational tax certificates, alcohol licenses, and personnel matters for City staff.

Planning & Development Department

The Planning and Development Department helps guide appropriate growth and development in the city. Various approaches are used to achieve the City’s vision such as land use planning and permit issuance. The department also oversees building services including building permit and inspections.

Public Works, Maintenance, and Sanitation Department

Public Works, Maintenance, and Sanitation Department strives to upkeep the City by providing residents with quality service. To accomplish this goal, the department has a variety of responsibility including trash collection, roadway maintenance, drainage maintenance, and overall maintenance of City property.

Municipal Court

The Municipal Court of Dacula hears and adjudicates traffic offenses and violations of city ordinances that occur within the city limits of Dacula. Municipal Court is typically held once a month on the third Tuesday of the month at 5:00 p.m. Individuals who are issued citations should report to the Municipal Court at 4:00 p.m.

Marshal’s Office

The Marshal’s Office helps promote a safe environment for all community members and is charged with enforcing state laws and city ordinances inside the city limits of Dacula.  The Marhshals also provide assistance to the Gwinnett County Police Department’s East Precinct officers, as needed.

Elections Department//Departamento de Elecciones

The Elections Department is charged with scheduling and conducting municipal elections in accordance with the Georgia Election Code and the City of Dacula Charter.
