October 7, 2018 is proclaimed International Trigeminal Neuralgia Day in the City of Dacula.
A Proclamation by the Mayor of the City of Dacula, Georgia
International Trigeminal Neuralgia Day
WHEREAS, October 7,2018, is set aside as International Trigeminal Neuralgia Day to underline the serious consequences for those who suffer the pain associated with this disease; and
WHEREAS, The symptoms of the disorder include sudden, severe and stabbing pain or constant aching or burning sensations in the cranial and facial areas served by the fifth cranial nerve; and
WHEREAS, These symptoms are debilitating, causing untold suffering; and
WHEREAS, It is in the interests of the citizens of Dacula, the State and Nation to recognize this disease;
NOW, THEREFORE, I JIMMY WILBANKS, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF DACULA, PROCLAIM October 7, 2018 as International Trigeminal Neuralgia Day. I ask that each citizen of the City of Dacula recognize the symptoms and encourage further research and development of treatments to ease the suffering of those who suffer from the Trigeminal Neuralgia.
I have caused my signature and the Seal of the City of Dacula to be affixed hereto on this 7th Day of October in the year of our Lord 2018.
