Please be aware of the road conditions between Dacula Road & Hebron Church Road on Fence during the winter months.Over the past 5 days we have had 3 incidents, a young girl lost control on ice and hit a tree (thank goodness she was not injured), very early Sunday morning a car needed to be wenched from the low area near the rain run off for the Hebron parking lot and at 4am today, a car lost control on ice and came within 1 foot of taking out a corner of my front porch. Between the underground spring running down my drive (which goes right into the storm drain) and the high water table in this area, there is water draining over the sidewalks and into the road. When the temp drops to freezing, the water freezes and causes dangerous driving conditions. Please pass this information along to any and everyone that you suspect may drive this road to and from 316.

Thanks for the heads up. It sounds like the City or County road dept. needs to do something about the drainage. If it can't be fixed, at least it's an excuse for some Public Utility to come out with 4 dump trucks, a trailer and back hoe, at least 5 assorted vehicles with flashing yellow lights, and 9 men to stand around watching while one guy pokes at the ground with a shovel.

Sounds like "stimulus" money could be used to "fix" the road/drainage. Of course they'll probably just cut the trees down so more sunlight hits the road to warm up and thaw the ice.
Be safe! Thanks for the warning.

Once again, a little after 4am today, someone in a big SUV lost control on the ice on Fence Road and came up into my yard......missing the corner of my front porch by inches. Eventually, if something is not done to correct this water problem, someone is going to hit my house. I just pray that no one gets hurt.

and.......a spin out about midnight last night in the middle of the road......no car in the yard and I assume no one was injured, the car drove away. Another call to the county, another salt/sand truck........this is getting really old!
