Have not seen much in regard to comments lately about Luigi's Pizza. I do notice the wrap around the building line at Lil' Caesar's on a daily basis for a $5.00 special.

Nothing against fast pizza, but you cannot beat Luigi's home made pie's. Closest thing to Jersey and NY I have found in Georgia. The best deal is the slice!Cheers Get 2 slices and a cold beer your as full and more satisfied than any other deal around town.

Honestly the only time we have been there the service was real slow and the food was expensive and just ok.... Never been back..... They were slammed with a delivery order but that shouldn't impact the customers in the dining room.

I would rather eat Luigi's.....however....its too expensive.   I do get Little C's...  You cannot beat the price and its better than a lot of little mom and pops...(Like Tomatos..when it was still in business)

I understand that the ingredients may be better but two pizzas for 35 bucks is ridiculous!

Agreed -- my family and I love Luigi's, but only order it once in awhile because of the price.  We ordered it over the break when we had family in town, and the cost for 2 pizzas with a couple toppings each plus some garlic knots was $42!  We could have eaten at Chili's or some other sit down restaurant for that price.

Granted, it does cost more than Lil C's but they make everything from scratch as you order. Ever order a Canoli there? They make them also.

The other item, I see Lil' C's and Chili's. Both are large companies with buying power. The independent folks cannot buy the ingredients much less sell a pie for $5.00 and cover the overhead.

To each is own. I find the place a breath of fresh air. Sit down and talk with the owners. He grew up in New York's Lil' Italy. Just touted them because they are nice folks with good food. I for one am tired of all the franchise pre- prepped, salt loaded, stuff that you can find in any town of any state.

The problem they will face is price and location.  I have not been there yet, but will try.  The problem with Dacula is that you really don't get the type of traffic you need to make a business very successful.  The high price, means he has to deliver a premium product (which based on the reviews, it appears he does), but your reach really has to exceed the area to draw in the crowds needed to support the high cost of a premium product.  Tucked into a dark corner in a strip mall that cannot be seen from the road does not help.

Well...

I don't know if traffic is the problem. Fatsos is always packed. So isn't Del Rio.  I think price is the problem.

I think owners places like Slices, Luigi's, and Denji think that because of the touted demographics and income in the area ( I think on the Connelly construction website for the town center its $84k per household) they think they can simply come in with high prices and all will come.

In any case, I hope Luigi's makes a price reduction. I would gladly pass by Little C's and pay 20 bucks for 2 at Luigi's. Volume sales!

So, we hadn't been to Luigi's in maybe six months, and there was a $2.00 off coupon in the mail, so we gave it another shot last night (Friday) at 7:00 PM.  Almost every table and booth was filled and they were having a busy night, but our Greek salad was out in 5 minutes, and the pizza came out as we were finishing the salad.  We both commented on how fast the food arrived, in spite of being busy.  I must say that the pizza seemed kind of tasteless!  I didn't get any hint of Italian seasoning from the sauce, the sausage tasted like plain ground pork and even the pepperoni was dull.  The whole thing was kind of like eating a hot, gooey piece of cardboard.  But the Greek salad was delicious!  Just MHO.  We'll continue to go back to Biba's Antonetta for sit down pizza with flavor.

I dined at Luigis once and was not impressed with their pizza. Like SnapperMan said, I found it lacking flavor...pretty bland. I can give a restaurant a pass on a slow-dining experience, they can improve that on your next visit. Bad food is bad food.

Personally, if I am going to pay alot for pizza...I drive to Cosmo's Little Italy in Lawrenceville Ctr.

The owners are Italian straight  from Italy by way of Brooklyn NY.

They make real northeast NY Pizza.

The smell when you walk in that place is like ahhhhhh!!

Only problem, the husband/wife owners can get somewhat unpleasant when its busy.........LOL   (Two medium 2 toppin pizza's which are 18 inches 28 bucks)

Luigi's seems to have gone downhill lately.  Much prefer to drive the extra 1/2 mile to Antonetta Biba's (Kroger Shopping Center on 124).

Awesome Food and always excellent service!!
